Meet Rhonda Barriage Owner

In 1977, Rhonda Barriage became the first aesthetician in Belleville and opened Beauty Works Spa to bring world-class esthetics to the Bay of Quinte area.

Rhonda trained at the Edith Serei School of Esthetics in Toronto and later specialized in electrolysis. Over the years, she has continued to expand her expertise in advanced techniques including laser hair removal, photorejuvenation, skin repair, permanent makeup, and tattoo removal.

Her vision, dedication, and passion for beauty and wellness continue to guide Beauty Works Spa more than four decades later.

Booking & Appointments

You can request appointments online 24/7 or call Guest Services at 613‑966‑5211 during spa hours. Online requests are confirmed by our team.
Yes. A valid credit card is required to secure bookings. Nothing is charged in advance; you can pay however you prefer at checkout.
Popular times fill quickly. We often book 2–3 weeks out. If you can, pre‑book your next visit before you leave.
To respect our therapists’ time, late changes or missed visits are charged 50% of the service value (plus tax):

Individual appointments: 24 hours’ notice

Multiple / side‑by‑side (3+ hours): 48 hours’ notice

Private parties / groups (3+ guests or 5+ hours combined): 7 days’ notice for the whole group; 48 hours for individual attendees
Absolutely. Please appoint a group coordinator to work with us on your date, guest list, and service choices. A credit card or 50% deposit is required to secure the itinerary. Groups of 10+ incur a 15% administrative service fee.

Day Spas & Amenities

All Day Spa packages include spa treatments plus access to amenities: showers, eucalyptus steam room, infrared sauna, relaxation area, locker room with secure locker, robe and spa sandals, and refreshments.
Bring a bathing suit, hairbrush, cosmetics, and any personal toiletries you like.
Infrared sauna is not recommended if you’re pregnant or trying to conceive, or if you have certain heart or neurological conditions.

Eucalyptus steam should be avoided if you have asthma or a eucalyptus sensitivity; some medications and conditions require extra caution.
When in doubt, please consult your healthcare provider.
Amenities access is guaranteed with Day Spa packages. For single services, availability may vary—ask Guest Services when you book.

Massage & Treatments

RMT treatments are performed by Registered Massage Therapists and focus on therapeutic goals (e.g., pain, mobility, injury). Relaxation massages are not performed by an RMT and are designed primarily for stress relief.
Yes—ask for tandem massage or choose a Day Spa for two.
Yes. We provide a range of non‑surgical treatments (e.g., microneedling, Spectra™ laser services, OxyGeneo®, face & body contouring). A complimentary consultation is required before any new medical treatment.
Yes. We offer Spectra™ laser tattoo removal and permanent makeup (brows and eyeliner). Pricing is provided during consultation.
We offer waxing, laser hair removal, and electrolysis. Pricing varies by area—ask us for details.
A Beauty Works signature service where your facial, manicure, and pedicure are performed at the same time—a luxurious time‑saver.

Select lines include Bathorium, Zoya, Footlogix, Gehwol, Zensa, CND, G.M. Collin, AlumierMD skin care, Dermaroller, Yon‑Ka Paris, and Jane Iredale mineral makeup.
Yes—available year‑round. Gift cards are non‑refundable, non‑transferable and not redeemable for cash. Gift cards are not redeemable toward Botox or Dermal Filler services. Other conditions may apply. Ask for details.

General Policies & Etiquette

Please arrive 15 minutes early if you have never been to the spa or it has been over 2 year since your last visit to fill out a medical history.
Come as you are—robes and spa sandals are provided for packages. For body treatments, undress to your comfort level. For pedicures, we provide disposable sandals.
Yes—let us know your provider and/or gender preference when booking. We’ll do our best to accommodate (subject to availability). Any massage an RMT does is eligible for a receipt. E.g. relaxation, hot stone, vichy shower massage etc.
Yes—RMT treatments include a receipt in the name of the person treated for potential insurance reimbursement. Relaxation massage is not eligible for RMT receipts.
Please reschedule if you have a fever, flu‑like symptoms, or a contagious condition. Your therapist will also reschedule if they’re unwell—thank you for helping us keep the spa healthy.
Yes. Complete your health intake and update us on pregnancy, heart conditions, diabetes, cancer treatments, epilepsy, recent surgery, or medications such as isotretinoin/Accutane, antibiotics, blood thinners, or photosensitizers. Some services may be adjusted or postponed for your safety.
Many services are pregnancy‑friendly (e.g., customized facials, pedicures, some body treatments). Please avoid heat amenities (steam/sauna) and let us know how far along you are so we can tailor your service.
To maintain a quiet environment, only guests receiving services may enter treatment areas. Minors receiving services require a parent/guardian present to consent; certain services have age restrictions.
Your provider will review personalized aftercare. As a general rule, after waxing, laser, peels, or microneedling, avoid hot tubs, pools, vigorous workouts, exfoliation, and direct sun/heat for 24–48 hours and use broad‑spectrum SPF.
Please silence devices and refrain from speakerphone/video to keep the spa peaceful for everyone.
Please avoid heavy fragrances—many guests are scent‑sensitive.
Gratuities are optional and appreciated; many guests tip 15–20% for excellent service. Gratuities are not included in service prices unless stated.
Service menus are reviewed periodically and prices may change without notice. Taxes are additional unless specified otherwise.
For hygienic reasons, opened skincare and cosmetics may not be eligible for return. If you experience a reaction, contact us within a reasonable timeframe and we’ll help with options per brand policy.
